Any person who hopes to have a kid may have programs for them “someday.” Having my son to his first Purple Sox sport and Broadway demonstrate are two of mine. A specific one I have been on the lookout ahead to is looking at the total Harry Potter sequence, which I have hardly ever accomplished, with my son.

In reality, he pretends to go through extensive books (it’s seriously cute), and I believed of receiving him the total set for Christmas this calendar year. But author J.K. Rowling resolved to split a great deal of hearts and appear out as transphobic. And 2020 strikes all over again.

This led to a various sometime: sometime, I’ll educate my son about bigots.

The working day arrived. As we were driving to get a shake at Green Line Apothecary on North Primary in Providence, my son overheard publishing podcasters speaking about J.K. Rowling’s most up-to-date anti-transgender tweet. My son asked me why they were speaking about her.
